Description
On a universal and timeless theme, Em'Ji fed his inspiration from the principle of dendrites, used by Georges Sand. This work is indeed the culmination of several technical creative processes; its random background is first created on paper from oil paint on water, like vat or marbled papers. In this background, the drawing appears for Em'Ji, and a first draft of the work is then painted by hand, in ink and acrylic. Then the work thus defined on paper is digitized to be finalized by digital painting and printed on canvas in a single large format print, enhanced with oil pastels. The final result is of an exceptional satin finesse. The line remains to him in the softness and the constant light of Em'Ji's works.
Presentation
Em’ji was born in 1965, she is a French painter and lives in Sete, South of France. Painting, sculpting, modeling, photography, mosaics, design... Em’ji is a protean artist, and through time has managed to learn a lot due to her encounters and the various cultures she came across. Her creations are figurative. Her main source of inspiration is water and its reflections, first artistic emotions encountered during her first group session in a workshop in Bordeaux. She explores all angles, like the one of Caribbean Sea, Mekong not to mention the Dead sea. A favorite subject which doesn't prevent the artist to explore other themes like intimate portraits.
