Abstract Surrealism, 2019

Max Mayoral

This artwork strikingly melds surrealism with vibrant color contrasts, featuring a faceless figure with a swirling blue pattern where the face should be, evoking a sense of the boundless and unknown. Framed by long, flowing black hair, the figure is encircled by a bold red halo, adding an aura of mystery and divinity. The background is a calming green, highlighting the figure's dynamic presence. The clothing, adorned with playful floral motifs in a mix of bright yellows, purples, and pinks, injects a lively, almost whimsical element, contrasting with the enigmatic visage. This piece uniquely explores themes of identity and abstraction, creating an immersive visual experience that invites reflection on the nature of self and existence. The juxtaposition of bold colors and abstract forms establishes a fascinating interplay that captivates the viewer, making it a standout representation of contemporary surreal art.
