Description
This artwork is a mesmerizing blend of contemporary digital brilliance and traditional cultural motifs. At the centerpiece of the composition is a serene, young woman whose delicate features exude an aura of tranquility and introspection. Her hair is intricately braided and rests gently over her shoulder, emphasizing the meticulous care and attention to detail in the styling. She is adorned in a richly embroidered garment, showcasing vibrant reds, blues, and whites in complex, ornate patterns that pay homage to traditional textile designs.
Surrounding her is a stunning tapestry of blooming flowers, rendered in a vivid and eye-catching mosaic pattern. The large, luxuriant flowers dominate the background with their bold, saturated reds and pinks, meticulously arranged in a pixelated format that seamlessly marries modern digital art with the classic beauty of nature. This juxtaposition creates a captivating visual contrast, highlighting the harmony between the subject and her surroundings.
The interplay of warm and cool tones throughout the piece adds depth and dimension, making the artwork both inviting and intriguing. The textured effect in the background suggests a tactile, almost woven quality, enhancing the sense of cultural heritage and artistry. This fusion of traditional and contemporary elements encapsulates not only a sense of timeless beauty but also an appreciation for the evolving nature of artistic expression.
Exuding both elegance and modernity, this artwork is a testament to the artist's skillful ability to blend diverse influences into a cohesive, harmonious piece. It invites viewers to delve deeper into the interplay between the old and the new, and to appreciate the intricate craftsmanship that defines this visually stunning masterpiece.
Presentation
Kateryna Ocheredko is a virtuoso artist from Poland whose art is filled with vibrant colors and graphic expressiveness.
I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2012.
I work with various media, including linocut, silk screen printing, etching, acrylics, and oil paints.
Additionally, I create digital illustrations, paint animations, and mosaic compositions.
Depending on the idea, I select the technique and materials for a more expressive realization.
Since 2011, I have presented 9 solo exhibitions.
In 2021, I was honored to receive the "Silver Key" award from the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art. I have served as a painting supervisor and animator on the film "The Peasants," Poland's nominee for the Oscars in 2023. As a painter-animator, I contributed to the creation of the first feature-length animation film, "Loving Vincent," painted with oil, which was nominated for the Oscars and the Golden Globe in 2018.“
When I am working with the theme of corporeality, I work with live models and their emotions.
The sensations generated by the interaction between the artist and the model are conveyed through color and shapes.
