Description
This captivating artwork presents an intriguing representation of a female visage painted on what appears to be a textured canvas. The artist employs a vibrant and dynamic color palette, predominantly utilizing hues of orange, brown, teal, and subtle touches of blue, which render an evocative and emotionally resonant image. The expression on the face conveys a sense of deep thought and introspection. The eyes, wide and reflective, are particularly striking, with their gleaming highlights suggesting curiosity and contemplation. The use of light and shadow around the eyes adds an illusion of depth, making them the focal point of the piece. The lips, painted with a blend of purples and reds, suggest a subdued yet strong emotion, enhancing the overall narrative of the subject's inner world. The background adopts a warm, almost fiery texture composed of layered oranges and browns, creating a stark yet harmonious contrast with the cooler shades on the face. This duality of warm and cool tones not only highlights the contours of the face but also emphasizes the surreal and dreamlike quality of the painting. The brushwork is loose yet deliberate, with visible strokes that convey movement and texture, giving the piece a raw and organic feel. This painterly technique enriches the artwork with a sense of spontaneity and vitality. Overall, this piece stands out due to its emotional depth, the interplay of colors, and the poignant portrayal of the subject's inner life. It invites viewers to delve into their own reflections and interpretations, making it a thought-provoking addition to the world of contemporary portraiture.
Presentation
His professional career as a painter begins in early 2022 when he retires from the business world after more than 50 years. The COVID-19 Contemplation made us realize how important it is to do what we like. This, along with the increase in free time, made Ernest Carneado Ferreri begin to express his deepest feelings through canvases and paintings. His first paintings focus on figures of women, animals, and the sea—three elements that have been his source of inspiration since he was little.
Ernest Carneado Ferreri begins painting self-taught, learning with each brushstroke. His first canvases show disorder, but, above all, great passion. For the artist, painting is a way of opening up to the world and expressing his emotions, his frustrations, and his desires. That is why, in just one year, he has made more than 200 paintings.
Ernest Carneado Ferreri was born in Barcelona on August 19, 1952. His professional career focused on manufacturing, design, and marketing of children's toys. During this period, she got married and had three wonderful children, got divorced, and now has two granddaughters. For years, he traveled around the world and visited several countries, acquiring a global awareness and vision that are reflected in his current paintings.
