Description
This vibrant work features two stylized figures, a seated man and a standing woman, against a vibrant yellow background. The graphic style is boldly colorful, with thick black lines defining the figures, creating a striking contrast. The man, dressed in green, sports a red heart on his chest, potentially symbolizing love or vulnerability. The woman, in pink, holds a book or a square object, suggesting reflection or conversation. The angular faces and deliberately distorted proportions add a touch of originality and expressionism. The bold palette of blues, reds, and browns enriches the visual intensity of the whole. The tiled floor stabilizes the composition. This painting invites contemplation of human relationships and the emotions they arouse, while celebrating a resolutely modern and singular aesthetic.
Presentation
Max Rovira is a Spanish painter whose work is at the crossroads of contemporary painting, lyrical abstraction, gestural expression, and pictorial material. His work is distinguished by a constant search around color, light, texture, and emotion, developing a plastic language where abstraction becomes a space for contemplation and freedom. Through intuitive painting, the artist has built vibrant compositions in which the superimpositions of pigments, transparencies, and spontaneous gestures create a singular depth.
Max Rovira's practice is based on a permanent dialogue between technical mastery and spontaneity. Working mainly with acrylic, pigments, inks, and mixed media on canvas, he develops rich surfaces where successive layers reveal traces, rhythms, and chromatic vibrations. His creative process favors experimentation, allowing organic forms and inner landscapes to emerge which invite the viewer to a personal reading. Art is not for him a representation of reality but a sensitive translation of emotions, movement, and time.
Inspired by nature, atmospheric phenomena, and grand spaces, Max Rovira builds a work where the notions of balance, silence, and energy coexist. His compositions evoke both marine horizons and mineral landscapes or cosmic universes, without ever entering into explicit figuration. This freedom of interpretation is one of the major characteristics of his work and contributes to his artistic identity.
Max Rovira's works have been presented in several contemporary art galleries and at international fairs, where they seduce collectors and amateurs with their chromatic power and immersive dimension. Present in many private collections in Europe and internationally, he pursues a plastic search centered on the relationship between abstraction, material, light, color, and emotion, affirming a personal pictorial writing within contemporary abstract painting.
