Description
This abstract work envelops the viewer in a harmony of greens and touches of yellow. The interplay of textures is striking, with fine streaks and thick layers of paint intended to create depth and visual dynamics. Through this gradient of colors, the artist succeeds in evoking a feeling of a mysterious forest, an atmosphere of dark undergrowth. The irregular and fluid shapes seem to capture the light in a subtle way, accentuating the nuances with remarkable finesse. The gestural composition, although free, demonstrates a mastery of movement and balance, prompting reflection on nature and chaos. From this chaos emerges a dragonfly that seems to defy nature. Unique in its approach, this canvas awakens the senses and imagination, transforming abstraction into an immersive and sensory experience and illustrating the force of life.
Presentation
Peggy Cardoso's painting is a sensitive painting of colors, smells, light. These are momentous moments, simply beautiful things. This young multidisciplinary artist, a graduate of Decorative Arts in Paris, reveals her temperament as a painter by successfully taming colors and themes as different as they are varied. And when colors and materials are put at the service of humor and cheerfulness, this results in paintings that exude calm and serenity. For her, a canvas should be an invitation to reverie that warms cold winter days and refreshed the heaviness of summer. It is a moment of relaxation to distract people from their anxieties with not an easy art, but a simple and admissible art. Her power is to paint emotion and to make it felt through a sum of small worlds, scenes of life, familiar animals, as light as multicolored balloons that she releases into space to give a impulse to the dreams of passers-by. Her requirement is that her painting always remains sincere, she makes no concessions to painting of convenience, working according to her sensations wherever her changing moods lead her. This is also why Peggy Cardoso's work has evolved in recent years. Seven years of struggle with fibromyalgia have introduced darker colors, deeper subjects, but always a lot of emotion, truth and naturalness into his paintings.
