Description
This artwork is a confluence of abstract forms and figurative elements that invite visual reflection. At the center, the organic form of color is emphasized, creating a sensation of movement. This form of color appears to float. The background is covered with writing in carbon paper. It offers a hidden narrative, fragmented stories, and diverse forms. One aspect of this work is the combination of techniques. The combination of blocks of color with the writing in the background creates a dialogue between the abstract and the figurative, the spontaneous and the deliberate, revealing new capacities for meaningful defiance to the viewer in interpreting its multiple messages.
Presentation
“The concepts of subject, body, fragmentation and the connection with the world that they inhabit" are questions which are an integral part of Adriana's work. She builds bodies, stories. Appealing to the fragility of the material emphasized that primary human fragility.
She makes it possible to appear their scars and connections. The roughness of a wall acts as an initial act of a generation of drawings, signs, histories. She works with cotton paper, very thin, fragile and resistant at the same time; as metaphors of the human being.
Drawing gestures, ideas, thoughts. Metonymic stories that host landscapes, nature, locations. It is the formation of a landmark between forgetfulness and memory.
Shemake history in a successive series of origins and reconstructions. Drawing absurd hoarding desire. In a journey, search, it is an attempt of writing that materializes memory, remembrance and word.
