Moody Abstract Seascape Artwork in Charcoal Gray and Stormy Green with Textured Ocean Horizon.
“Deep" is a contemporary abstract seascape artwork exploring the quiet magnitude of the ocean. The upper portion of the composition unfolds in soft, smoky gray tones, forming a vast sky that feels suspended in silence. Below, layered acrylic brushwork builds a rhythmic, textural horizon reminiscent of waves, submerged rocks, or tidal movement.
The restrained palette of charcoal, muted green, and silvery gray creates a contemplative atmosphere. Smooth transitions in the sky contrast with the dynamic, sculptural strokes along the waterline, evoking the tension between calm surface and hidden depth. The composition feels expansive yet grounded.
Ideal for modern interiors, minimalist spaces, executive offices, or sophisticated coastal homes, this artwork introduces serenity with quiet power. It also makes a thoughtful gift for collectors drawn to introspective landscapes and refined contemporary decor. “Deep" offers an immersive visual experience without visual excess.

Presentation
Daria Kalinnikova (b. 1991) is a contemporary abstract artist. Her practice explores material as process and form as movement, focusing on perception, space, and the physical presence of an artwork.
She graduated in 2013 from Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, where she developed a strong analytical understanding of structure and spatial logic. While architecture shaped her clarity of composition, it also led her toward a more intuitive artistic language—one that allows uncertainty, rhythm, and sensation to guide the work.
Daria works across acrylic painting, watercolor, calligraphy, drawing, graphic techniques, and sculptural forms. These mediums function as experimental fields where color becomes tactile and composition unfolds through layered surfaces, subtle tensions, and shifting light. Her abstract works do not depict specific places; instead, they register internal states—emerging from memory, overlapping like residual traces, and remaining suspended between appearance and disappearance.
Light plays a central role in her visual language, dissolving edges and destabilizing form. In her graphic practice, she embraces imperfection as a productive condition, using fine tonal shifts and delicate marks to explore absence, erosion, and incompleteness. Each piece invites slow looking, changing with distance, movement, and time.
Her paintings often extend beyond the canvas, while her sculptural objects investigate balance and instability—encouraging viewers to perceive familiar forms as moments in motion rather than fixed structures. Through a quiet yet rigorous visual language, Daria creates contemplative environments where materiality transforms into experience.
