Description
The canvas depicts a rhinoceros in a slightly inclined profile view, rendered in a stencil‑like style using black, white, and grey tones. The treatment is precise: the folds of the skin, the horn, and the massive outline of the animal are defined through sharp contrasts that give it an almost sculptural presence. The background, by contrast, consists of layered, colourful graffiti — touches of blue, yellow, pink, and purple — applied in irregular patches. One can see drips, partially erased tags, and areas of flaking paint, evoking an outdoor urban wall exposed to weathering. Small plants grow at the base of the surface, reinforcing the impression of an exterior, raw, unpolished setting. The overall effect creates a dialogue between the sober depiction of the animal and the energetic, chaotic environment of street art.
Presentation
Hardly out of his teens and he knew what he wanted to do...He is known as Ackro and has put down roots in the world of graffiti. Oneack was born in 1993 in Paris, and is among the booming artists. Oneack has improved his sharp style, he has a special fondness for entropic areas (abandoned places), with a hint of darkness. He tries to disseminate color and therefore an impetus of life, reviving certain fields, suggesting latent history. Oneack has an expertise on several techniques: acrylic, brush and spray painting..He stands out due to his use of sponges, to create backgrounds or even recycle stencils to make up collages. His varied practices create work which can be seen through several angles. Viewpoints are divided but the "punch" that the artist yearns to share is omnipresent and omnipotent. He has also contributed to several collective exhibitions: StreeArtack gallery in Fontainebleau, but also "Bon coin" festival in Thomery…
