Description
From the new series "Inspired By X" comes a full dose of MBM meets J.M. Basquiat, and thus the third work in the Basquiat series. When I research artists and delve deeply into their work, a real connection seems to emerge. It's as if we're sitting together on the studio floor, bombarding each other with questions—incredibly real. I've answered his questions from today's perspective, with a hefty dose of optimistic energy, and translated his answers into my own. You'll also find many of his icons and moves, as well as references to Basquiat's signature color palette, execution, and composition. There's so much to say about this piece that I don't want to include it all here. So please feel free to ask me about it and learn more at the next exhibition or by visiting the studio. Much of it, however, is self-explanatory. So, "get lost!" in "Amor Gignit Amorem." The Inspired By series continues.
