Description
The improvisation guide each aspect of this abstract composition. The gesture imposes itself as the central element. It captures the instinct and speed of the movement.
The acrylic spreads fluidly. Sinuous curves recall the art of calligraphy. The shapes intertwine without preconceived ideas. The chance of the material creates a striking visual relief.
The chromatic contrast structures the space. An acid green dominates the upper part. A bright red spot anchors the composition in the bottom right. Black and gray bring graphic depth.
The balance arises from the amplitude of the lines. The tension between the saturated areas and the white of the support airs the whole. This painting from 2025 explores the harmony between control and spontaneity.
The final rendering mixes the precision of the line and free pigment projections.

I develop a reflection around the possibilities offered by India ink, exploring the fluidity of the line and the intensity of the black. My contemporary creations extend the traditional practice of ink and calligraphy to gradually lead it towards lyrical abstraction, where the gesture becomes free, spontaneous, and intuitive. What interests me particularly is the space between the lines, the search for a balance between the filled and the empty, between the power of black and the presence of the background. The forms that appear can evoke characters from an ideographic writing without ever seeking to constitute a legible language. Calligraphy then becomes one of the elements of a larger structure and transforms into an abstract representation. Through this research, I gradually build a personal plastic language in which the line retains the spontaneity of the gesture while developing a true visual vitality. The use of acrylic to obtain a rendering close to that of ink results in a fragile alchemical balance, between mastery of the material and freedom of movement. In each of my works, black acts as a vector of meaning. It structures the space without confining it and deliberately leaves room for interpretation. The viewer is thus invited to look beyond the gesture, to traverse the empty spaces and to pursue their own questions.
