Zebra Head, 2025

Danny Hoens

A bold composition where color asserts itself frankly. The eye circulates between saturated blocks and marked black lines. A play of organic shapes interweaves with simple geometries. The balance arises from the contrast between the solar yellow, the deep red and touches of cold blue.
The center of the canvas presents a complex structure. Concentric circles evoke eyes or targets. These repetitive motifs create a dynamic visual rhythm. The line, sure and fluid, delineates areas of clear colors.
The lower part introduces a graphic rupture. Two striped columns of black and white anchor the composition. This linear pattern contrasts with the softness of the surrounding curves. The whole exudes an immediate energy. The flat surface emphasizes the precision of the execution. The artist plays with the superposition of planes to suggest an abstract depth. The background is divided into wide chromatic sectors. The final balance rests on the harmony between organized chaos and graphic rigor. The signature Dani appears discreetly in the lower right corner.
