Profondeur infinie - Série Fonds Marins: Le Monde du Silence, 2022

The eye plunges here into a dreamlike aquatic world. Blue dominates the composition. It extends in successive waves, creating an immersive depth. The work of the material brings a striking relief. The pigments intertwine to imitate the fluid movement of water.

Small orange splashes are scattered across the canvas. They evoke schools of agilely arranged fish, they guide the gaze through the current. Touches of green suggest the presence of algae and marine vegetation. At the bottom of the scene, shades of purple and white draw delicate corals.

The light seems to come from the surface, filtering through the layers of paint. This contrast between the clarity of the top and the darkness of the seabed reinforces the mysterious dimension of the place. The pictorial gesture is free. It favors sensation and instinct rather than descriptive precision. The whole forms an abstract underwater landscape where the fluidity of forms dominates. This composition plays on the balance between the cool tones of the background and the warm spots of the foreground.
