Description

A mesmerizing flow of turquoise, deep blue, and gold moves across four textured canvases, creating an abstract composition inspired by water, sky, and the mysterious vastness of the cosmos. Rich mineral-like formations and delicate curved lines bring together the fluidity of water and the enduring presence of stone.

Created as part of the FLOW & STONE collection, this original quadriptych reflects the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, celebrating organic irregularity, natural materials, and the beauty of surfaces shaped by movement and time.

The four panels are connected through sweeping lines and flowing color transitions. Deep teal and turquoise passages merge with warm gold, ochre, and earthy gray, creating a visual rhythm that continues across the spaces between the canvases. Some areas resemble underwater currents, while others suggest weathered rock, mineral deposits, or reflections of distant light.

The artist combines acrylic, sand, plaster, and natural materials to build a richly textured surface. Raised golden formations contrast with smoother blue-green passages, giving the artwork a sculptural quality. These tactile details become increasingly visible as the viewer approaches, revealing intricate variations in relief and color.

A deep circular formation in the lower right panel creates a mysterious focal point, surrounded by textured golden accents and flowing turquoise shapes. The contrast between its dark interior and the luminous surrounding areas suggests depth, inviting the imagination to move beyond the visible surface.

The composition explores the idea of continuous movement, where reflections gradually dissolve into the water and individual fragments become part of a larger whole. Its combination of natural textures and atmospheric color creates a contemplative experience, balancing energy with stillness.

This original four-panel abstract artwork is well suited to contemporary living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, or creative spaces. Its turquoise and gold palette complements neutral interiors, natural wood, stone, and modern furnishings, while the connected canvases create a distinctive visual centerpiece.

For collectors who appreciate textured abstraction, the beauty of natural materials, and the symbolism of water and reflection, the quadriptych offers an expressive combination of movement, depth, and organic form. It may also make a thoughtful gift for someone inspired by the ocean, the natural world, or the connection between earth and the cosmos.

Materials: Acrylic, sand, plaster, and natural materials on canvas mounted on wooden stretchers. Original quadriptych from the FLOW & STONE collection.

Shipping / Display: Ready to hang. The artwork is shipped in a protective box.

Presentation

Lada Bozhina is a contemporary abstract artist based in Budva, Montenegro, whose work explores memory, migration, displacement, and the emotional reconstruction of home. Born into a family of artists — with her mother, father, and grandfather all working in the arts — she developed an early connection to visual culture and completed an eight-year education at a children’s art school before later studying interior design.

For more than a decade, Lada has worked professionally in interior design and decoration, an experience that strongly influences her artistic language. Her artworks combine layered abstraction, tactile surfaces, and conceptual use of materials, creating works that function both as emotional landscapes and spatial objects. Texture plays a central role in her practice, transforming fragments, found materials, and traces of lived experience into multidimensional compositions.

At the core of Lada’s work is the idea of the “suitcase of memory” — the emotional archive people carry through migration and personal transformation. Through abstraction and material layering, she preserves fragments of places, identities, and memories that continue to exist within new environments. Her paintings become visual spaces where loss, adaptation, warmth, and belonging coexist.

Her visual language merges contemporary conceptual abstraction with architectural sensitivity and postmodern landscape references. The works often balance restraint and emotional intensity, combining muted tones, physical textures, and fragmented surfaces that evoke erosion, reconstruction, and continuity.

Lada has participated in international and group exhibitions, presented solo projects in galleries and independent art spaces, and collaborated with interior designers. She is currently presenting her second solo exhibition in Podgorica, Montenegro, while developing a new body of work focused on migration, memory, and the reuse of materials for upcoming international open calls.
