Description

Art mixes here with the technical document. The support, a program of horse races, becomes the ground for a spontaneous expression. The stroke, mixing watercolor, acrylic, ink, and charcoal, captures the essence of the gallop.
The artist draws on their experience as a trainer to render the tension of the sport. The jockey, leaning over their mount, seems carried by an invisible breath, they wear the colors of the Rothschild silks.
Movement dominates the composition. Fluid lines and nervous touches suggest speed and effort. The contrast between the printed rigor of the text and the freedom of the pictorial gesture creates a unique visual dialogue.
The work pays tribute to the elegance and strength of the horses. The transition between the paper support and the pictorial material brings a tactile dimension.
This figurative and vintage piece from July 2008 highlights the precise moment of a start or an arrival. Horse number 6 dominates the center of the page, surrounded by highlights of colors and charcoal lines.

Presentation

Portrait of a passionat artist driven by him admiration for horses, whose artworks' blazing movement and dazzling colors should find their place in every onlooker's heart, be it love at first sight or at command. As a Fine Arts graduate, it is crucial to me to paint singled out works for each and everyone. From my background and my taste for luxury and beauty, I especially value the use of materials as precious as gold powder , barenia leather or crushed gemstones, with the aim of making each painting exceptional and unique. Which is of course crucial when the artwork happens to be an order. Sometime i like painting on racecards. My rapturous enthusiasm for movement is not new. I always used to ridde. As a little boy, I dreamt of a jockey life. Growing as an adult, I became a racing horse trainer and univers of horses have richly fed my pictorial work.

My passion for art and horses began in childhood. Their stirring eyes and stunning figure with such gracious gaits touched me to the core. My father and Grand father were jockey and steeplechase trainer. To my mind, horseracing and polo combines elegance, boldness and accuracy. I literally fell in love with those sport, and when in front of my easel looking at the field, I attend a chucker, I may let emotion rush on me by itself. By so creating, pieces of art can come alive, and become three dimensional, to the point for the viewer of being color splashed through the canvas.

Feeling that one could thrill so intensely made me realize that horseracing and polo truly are games of kings and kings of games.
