Cursed Riviera n°3, 2023

Léo Pansard

He is a poet of the canvas, passionately exploring the depths of the soul and tangible wonders. Each brushstroke is a symphony, a dance, guided by the vivid emotions that animate it. His artistic creations are the fruit of a passionate exploration, both of tangible places and intangible corners of the soul. Each of his works embodies evanescent memories of places he has visited, places that have marked him beyond their simple appearance. In the intimacy of the canvas, a deep emotional language is expressed, both intimate and universal. He draws his inspiration from the depths of his emotions, but also from the rich experiences that life has offered him, as well as from the sumptuous nuances and shapes of the surrounding nature. Residing in the South of France, where beaches with crystal clear waters rub shoulders with villages bathed in light, this setting has had a profound impact on his art. He transposes these enchanting panoramas into works where his unique shapes and features come to life. His art finds its impetus in the influence of great masters such as Orazio Gentileschi, El Greco, Hieronymus Bosch, Gernot Kissel, Fernand Léger and Claude Viallar. Through his brushes, floats and knives, he passionately expresses the emotions that drive him. Color, like a bewitching melody, is his favorite instrument, giving his paintings a dazzling life. Each brushstroke is a dance, a complex exploration of lines and shapes that reveals the very essence of his being. As an artist, he has an unquenchable love for abstraction. His art is a symphony of colors and shapes that transcends the limits of reality to reveal the essence of the human soul. He aspires to delight the eye, inspire reflection and spark a deep emotional connection with his creations. Each encounter, each bond forged with other creative souls, gives rise to a rainbow of emotions in his art. His paintings become silent witnesses, preserving for eternity the ephemeral magic of human relationships. An ode to the beauty of these connections that unite us in this vast web that is the human experience. Contemplate his creations, let yourself be carried away in a dreamlike escape, in an inner journey where emotion dances in a vibrant and poetic choreography. Because beyond the simple visual spectacle, his paintings invite you into a deep communion with the universal language of abstract art. May the echo of its colors guide you towards unsuspected horizons, where memories fade to give way to wonder. Dare to lose yourself in these inner lands, because this is where the magic resides, where the brush becomes a feather, and the artist becomes a poet.
