Description
This intriguing work presents a minimalist landscape enveloped in a soft mist. Dominated by shades of gray and pale blue, it evokes a serene and contemplative atmosphere. Vertical strokes suggest grasses or reeds, emerging delicately from the mist or snow, creating an effect of depth and mystery. The texture of the canvas reveals a masterful technique, the layers of paint adding a tactile dimension to the whole. The use of negative space amplifies the vastness and tranquility of the landscape, while the limited palette accentuates the evanescence of the scene. This work is distinguished by its ability to spark the imagination, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a suspended moment, on the border between reality and dream. A true celebration of abstract art and the beauty of minimalism.
Presentation
Born in Enghien les Bains in the Val d'Oise, a former student of the Duperré Higher School of Applied Arts and the workshops of the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, I have been exhibiting since the 80s
in numerous trade shows in France and abroad.
My preferred medium is oil paint, chosen for its malleability during the creative process. I primarily use a 7 cm wide palette knife, with which I explore texture and graphic forms. Through glazing and rubbing, the paint reveals its true essence. Drawing its inspiration from a world far removed from representational conventions, my creativity finds its full expression in informal art, though bordering on the figurative, and is nourished mainly by the plant and mineral world. Lines and textures intertwine freely on the canvas, creating improbable landscapes.
Generally imbued with elegance, serenity, and silence, my creations speak to the heart. My intention is to share with as many people as possible my vision of an ideal world filled with gentleness, beauty, and peace.
