Description
The oil is necessary here to seize the moment. The gaze, fixed and deep, immediately captures attention. The face is outlined with remarkable anatomical precision. The light sculpts the volumes of the forehead and cheeks.
The line is assured. The light background accentuates the subject's presence. Touches of red and yellow break the sobriety of the composition. These colored accents bring an unexpected visual dynamism.
The lower part of the portrait gradually fades away. The pigments flow in vertical lines. This work on dripping creates a contrast between the rigor of the face and the freedom of the pictorial gesture.
The final rendering oscillates between realism and abstraction. The subject seems to emerge from a chromatic chaos to assert itself with serenity. The canvas, created in 2025, explores the fragility of identity through a play of transparency and matter. Each brushstroke emphasizes the tension between physical presence and dissolution. The whole is composed of an earthy palette punctuated by fluorescent flashes.
