Alain Longeaud

Alain Longeaud lives and works in Paris.

He studied mathematics but has always been interested in arts : first he took an interest in music, and played piano for a while, then he became passionate abour photography. A decisive step in his career was his meeting Helmut Newton and working for him as an assistant. The photographers Bill Brandt and Ralph Gibson aso influenced his choice of becoming a photographer.

In parallel to his commercial shots for French and Italian fashion magazines, Alain Longeaud also takes fine art photographs, and today this is the most inmportant part of his career. Since 2005 he dedicates himself entirely to fine art photography.
