Ricky Cohete   Emerging artists

This series is inspired by a dream vision of the "Dance of the Oranges", it is a visual choreography of a message that comes to manifest itself in the movement of the men who dance. From its conception the message is transmitted, whispered and illuminated to create harmony in this imaginary world.

This mesmerizing artwork features a group of figures draped in vibrant, flowing fabric—shades of rich blue, deep red, and warm orange dominate the scene. Each figure dons a striking gold mask, evoking a sense of mystery and anonymity. The composition captures dynamic movement; figures twist and reach in varied poses, creating a sense of fluidity and theatrical intensity. The interplay of light and shadow across their bodies adds depth, highlighting the textures of the fabric and the reflective surfaces of the masks. This piece uniquely blends classical references with modern abstraction, drawing the viewer into its enigmatic narrative. The juxtaposition of the vivid colors against a dark background enhances the drama and allure, leaving an indelible impression.
