Description

*Secret Life Of Flowers 2* depicts not merely a botanical motif, but a fragile presence. The vivid colours appeal to the human eye, thereby opening up a nature-centred perception. Mari Prete transforms the flowers into beings of a kind all their own: vulnerable, luminous, mysterious. The dark surroundings allow the form to stand out, as if the blossoms were telling their own story — a poetic self-portrait of nature. The work exudes a meditative calm, yet also a subtle drama that arises from light, texture and the physical presence of the form. *Secret Life Of Flowers 2* is a work about the invisible within the visible — about the power that resides in organic forms, and about the delicate intensity that arises when one truly encounters them. Effect: poetic, intimate, organic, quietly dramatic atmospheric studies of nature with emotional depth Edition: Secret Life Of Flowers 2 is published as an edition. Each work is issued individually, allowing for a clear, collector-friendly presentation within the series.

Presentation

Born and raised in Armenia, she completed her studies in theatre and film studies at Yerevan State University. Today she lives and works in Europe.

In her work, the artist develops a bouquet of photographic approaches and works, among other things, on series of street photography, food and flower portraits. She uses the diverse possibilities of this genre and expresses her intuitively personal and observant view through the camera.

With her images, she tries to show our world and our life as they really are. Facets of life that seem hidden in the everyday are often barely noticed with the naked eye but become visible and thus experienceable through her photography.

They are simple, clear yet so profound, touching and lively motifs that show the viewer the many different aspects of life: joy of living, love, self-esteem, confidence, beauty and much more.
