Description
Contemplation captures a moment of inward focus — a delicate balance between light and thought. Painted in oil with soft transitions and warm radiance, the work explores how illumination shapes emotion and memory.
This painting was exhibited at the NOAPS Best of America 2025 Exhibition in Indianapolis, where it received a Merit Award and was featured on the cover of the official NOAPS exhibition catalogue.
It also presented at the 7th NTD International Figure Painting Competition held at the Salmagundi Club, New York, from January 18 to 24, 2026, where collectors and visitors will be able to view the piece in person.
Presentation
Tatiana Zubova is a Prague-based contemporary realist painter whose practice explores the intersection of material reality, symbolism, and inner belief. Working primarily in oil, she combines classical techniques with a conceptual approach, creating seascapes, figurative works, and miniature series that examine the emotional and psychological structures beneath visible form.
Zubova's work has been exhibited internationally, including the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition (London, UK), NOAPS Best of America (Indianapolis, USA), the Royal Miniature Society Annual Exhibition (London, UK), the American Society of Marine Artists' 2nd Annual ASMA Awards, and the Federation of Canadian Artists exhibitions (Vancouver, Canada).
Her work has received several distinctions, including the RSMA New Generation Award 2025, the NOAPS Best of America 2025 Merit Award, the NOAPS 2025 Fall Online Show Merit Award, and other prestigious art recognitions.
