Description
The Lost Way is a printed artwork made by Russian artist Alexandre Zlotnik in 1973. Lithograph print on paper. Hand signed and numbered in pencil on the bottom, edition of 150 prints.
The artwork is made through skillful and delicate strokes in anthropomorphic style with intense imagination.
Alexander Zlotnik (Moscow 1940) studied sculpture under Russian sculptors Wilensky and Schulz. He later joined the famous Sirikov Academy and in 1964 was elected a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. At that time, in Russia, an artist who was not a member of this union could not officially exhibit or sell his works. Like all members of the union, he was granted a studio and access to official exhibitions. At the age of twenty he won first prize at the Tchaikovsky Festival for the best portrait of the composer and from that time gained a considerable reputation in Russia.
