Description
Les Éditions Petit is a series of original lithographs in smaller formats, all printed in small editions in our lithographic workshop in Paris. Each lithograph is signed and numbered by the artist and framed in an exclusive frame. Our handmade frame is one of the finest craftsmanship you can find. The materials are carefully selected and composed to best showcase the lithograph. The frame is solid oak with ebony inlays. The glass strip is solid oak. All lithographs are framed with a white mat made of acid-free paper. This prevents the lithograph from coming into direct contact with the glass. The acid-free board is used to prevent the fumes emitted by cheaper acid-containing boards from destroying and degrading the lithograph over time.

Carlsen is known for his precise, figurative, and surreal works on paper that draw inspiration from historical scientific and botanical illustrations. His art focuses on the relationship between man and the animal world, with recurring themes such as birds, tigers and monkeys, which are particularly popular subjects.
