Description
An interior scene captures a moment of calm and contemplation. A woman sits comfortably on a light sofa. She looks towards the outside, where the city awakens under a soft light. The gaze is lost in the urban landscape visible through a large window.
The space is inhabited by familiar objects. A record player rests on the floor, suggesting a melodic atmosphere. Green plants bring an organic and fresh touch to the composition. Every detail, from the graphic rug to the small wall accessories, reinforces the feeling of serenity.
The figurative approach favors pastel tones and soothing hues. The composition plays on the transparency of the glass and the warmth of the hearth. The shapes are simplified to accentuate the poetry of everyday life.

Presentation
Sophie Griotto was born in 1975 in Alès. She studied applied arts in Nîmes and then in Toulouse before moving to Paris where she worked for a large advertising agency. In 1988, she started working as a freelancer, as a storyboarder, which led her to make films for prestigious houses such as Dior or Jean-Paul Gaultier. She then decided to turn to illustration in 2003.
Her illustrations are inspired by the world of fashion, the world of media, the world of childhood and poetry. Women play a main role in her creations, she is represented in all her modernity.
Sophie Griotto uses a lot of fabric, which allows her to highlight the colors and patterns.
In 2014, Sophie Griotto was entrusted with the decoration of a Parisian hotel located at the rue de la Paix.
The illustrator is part of the art book "100 Illustrators" as well as in "Illustration now, Fashion" by Taschen.
