It is also one of our favorite and nicest serigraphs of his that we have ever made available for sale, is hand signed in the lower right and numbered CCLXXIX/CCC (279 of 300). Making it even better in person, where the vivid color and exquisite imagery, that is suitable for any decor, comes to life in a brilliant display of Art Deco. Romain de Tirtoff (23 November 1892 – 21 April 1990) was a Russian-born French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erté, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th-century artist and designer in an array of fields, including fashion, jewellery, graphic arts, costume and set design for film, theatre, and opera, and interior decor.
