Original copper engraving 46.5 x 30 cm by Gottfried Salzmann. 60 copies numbered and signed in pencil by the artist printed on Rives vellum 67 x 50 cm on RLD presses. Robert and Lydie Dutrou editors 2016. Number of the non-contractual test.
Presentation
Gottfried Salzmann is a visual artist of Austrian origins who combines painting, photography and collage. In his studio in Paris, he developed an artistic world where watercolor brings elegance and fluidity to his work.
Knowing no limits, neither aesthetic nor technological, his vision of photography is to represent emotions with great aesthetic intelligence.
Currently focusing on cityscapes particularly in NY, Gottfried Salzmann redefines space and gives rise to vertical perspectives which dominate his work.
He transforms blank paper into an expressive support as important as color and becomes a stabilizing element of the compositions. Water and colors splashes are at the same time delicacy and aggressiveness disturbing the balance of his works.
Gottfried Salzmann is one of the rare gifted watercolor artist of our times.
