This intriguing Japanese-inspired Raku sculpture combines delicacy and originality. It depicts a young Geisha partially submerged in a bright blue sphere, evoking both birth and escape. The figure sports a serene expression, wearing a distinctive red hat, adding a touch of bright color that contrasts elegantly with the dominant blue. Around the sphere, raised flowers in earthy tones introduce an organic and natural dimension, the petals seeming to protect the central figure like a cocoon. The complex textures, highlighting subtle cracks, add visual and tactile depth. The whole rests on a discreet base, ensuring stability while highlighting the finesse of the sculptural detail. This work captivates with its ability to merge human and nature in a poetic harmony, encouraging contemplation and interpretation.
For about twenty years, Micke has taken up painting again by enrolling in various workshops: Triade, Académie fusain et sanguine, Atelier arts plastique in the Bordeaux region, in the southwest of France. Oil represents her favorite technique but Micke is open to all new practices. For her, painting and art in general equal pleasure.
Offering happiness, emotion with the passion of an artist who loves a job well done and who follows through on his ideas. The material is imbued with movements, but Micke seizes the moment or appeals to his imagination.
For many years, Micke has been working with clay, modeling characters, portraits and animals, discovering a very creative universe where she finds full fulfillment, particularly in the ancestral art of Raku.
Micke worked to improve his skills in different workshops, notably with Frédéric DUCAS, anatomist, Jean Louis RICAUD, Eric AUBRY, animal sculptor, and portraitist Yolanta LAUNAY.
However, my "blues" sometimes transpire in my paintings, my drawings, my sculptures: New York and its towers, the burning trees, the koalas, the polar bears... which translate my concern about the endangerment of nature. In sculpture I obtained some awards for the grand prize of the city of TALENCE:
2015 3rd prize of the city of with 2 sculptures
2017 grand prize of the city of TALENCE bronze medal 2 sculptures
2019 BOESNER Grand Prize
