Description
This intriguing work, a balloon-shaped sculpture, merges contemporary art with iconic luxury imagery. Featuring a glossy green surface, the object evokes the silhouette of a balloon, maintaining an appearance that is both simple and sophisticated. The famous Rolex logo, composed of a golden crown and the name in capital letters, is proudly displayed at its center. Set on a black base, the sculpture gains height and elegance, highlighting the intersection of popular culture and the symbolism of prestige. The bold use of color and the ironic juxtaposition of traditional luxury motifs and playful elements make this piece a striking social commentary, questioning notions of value and consumerism in modern society.
Presentation
Born in 1986 in Cannes, Alexandre Demoncler is a French contemporary artist whose universe merges sculpture and pop art.
Since 2015, he has been developing a unique visual language inspired by modern art, which he does not copy but reinvents.
Through his creations, he elegantly subverts and reinterprets the world's greatest luxury brands, transforming these symbols of prestige into works full of modernity.
His work blends resin, chrome and paint, playing on reflections and contrasts to create pieces that are both powerful and elegant.
His sculptures possess a unique identity, halfway between art and design.
