L'aldeça, 2026

Joaquín Riera Llargués

This artwork is a striking metal sculpture, ingeniously crafted from an array of repurposed materials. The centerpiece features a cylindrical body, possibly a part from a vintage machine, exuding an industrial aesthetic. Its head is an intricate assembly of cogs and gears, suggesting the fusion of human imagination with mechanical elements. Arms extend from the sides, fashioned from robust metal rods and ending in abstract shapes that evoke the idea of hands holding tools. The composition is balanced on a sturdy base, providing stability to the dynamic upper structure. The use of dark, metallic tones enhances its steely, futuristic feel while the shadow cast on the wall adds depth and intrigue. This piece is a testament to the artist's ability to reimagine and reconstruct mundane objects into a thought-provoking work of art that challenges perceptions and invites viewers to ponder the relationship between man and machine.
