Description
Sold with its wooden box. Far from academic background, TieRi self-taught artist, acquired a film camera which certainly marks the beginning of his artistic journey. Unconditional passionate about Graffiti since 1989, he penetrated its universe through photography, which he tried with brio for many years within the TDM crew, whose works as much as the tools they use fascinated him. He works with the spray can itself, and all the materials used by graffiti artists. Paint cans, brushes, rollers and therefore aerosol cans are the raw material for TieRi's artistic work. Deformation, accumulation, compression (realizing its "incompressions"), coloring, the tools become sculptures and offer us a metaphorical rereading of the lexical field of graffiti.
Presentation
Far from the academic world, TieRi is a self-taught artist. His artistic career started when he bought an analogue camera. He became passionate about graffiti in1989, and entered this universe by taking pictures of the TDM crew, whose works and materials fascinate him.
He works with aerosol spray cans and all the materials used by graffiti artists. Pots of paint, brushes, rollers and aerosol cans are the raw material in TieRi's practice.
His techniques are deformation, accumulation, compression (he makes works that he calls "incompressions"), coloring ; tools become sculptures and present us a metaphorical reading of graffiti's lexical field.
