The big gold, 2014

Li Shigong

Li Shigong is a Chinese artist born in 1967. His works contain thousands of designs whose pictorial approach is under influence Pop Art.

Individually interesting, his works take on their full meaning once accumulated. They form an immense cultural chaos world, waking up and reviving in the viewers of the shares of himself, of his or its worlds, of the history and a delectable taste of already-seen.

In the world of Li Shigong, it is not unlikely to see Lady Gaga, in the middle of soldiers of the Chinese army based on cans of soda, with in substance a statue of Buddha.

Dreams and fantasies multifaceted mixtures, element of popular culture, everything here is substantive, if amalgam and ends by organizing and recreate a figurative more or less distinct.

In its new work this world is broken, as in a comprehensive digestion of what we is. A world of perpetual digestions, of its own production, Li Shigong reflects a positive vision and fun of the world and we the offer as a feast, a possible acceptance of our century.
