Michèle Chast

Michèle Chast was born and works in Paris. After studying fashion design, she practiced drawing and sculpture on live models in the Beaux Arts workshops. The study of shapes and materials and his passion for Camille Claudel, Alberto Giacometti and Henry Moore, made him want to work with clay and bronze. His model: the woman, her body, her attitudes and more recently the couple. Since her beginnings in 2002, Michèle Chast's style has evolved towards purer and more contemporary shapes and style and gives her sculptures more movement and modernity.
