Biography

Born in 1962 in Belgium, Béatrice Graas studied painting at the Beaux Arts of Liège and engraving at the Verviers Academy. She masters with ease and audacity the techniques and materials and thus associates engraving, painting, photography, collage and writing. Her work is thoughtful and spontaneous. Her paintings are symphonies of colors that reflect the softness and freshness of childhood, the joy of life and freedom. If human beings and animals are at the heart of her concerns, Béatrice Graas is not lacking in humor because her subjects are playful and humorous. Her works are notebooks of life that everyone remains free to interpret.
