Josephine Ernst

Joséphine Ernst is a Danish photographer born in 1953. She studied scenography, which she later put in practice in the theater.

Hier photographs, printed on canvases, evoke an oneiric and mysterious universe. "By assembling images in multiple layers and highlighting the interaction between light and darkness, I try to create a new, different reality. These layers simultaneously contain close-ups of landscapes and objects, which inform us about the process of life, its repetition, its completion " said the artist to explain her approach.

Joséphine Ernst regularly exhibits her work in European galleries, in Norway, Germany, France and Denmark.
