Biography

Angèle Guerre studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she lives and works today.

She tends to reproduce the way the landscapes she sees are constructed in her spirit as imagined landscapes. The empty sheet of paper allows the apparition of a world that nobody knows. The artist works with a "frantic" patience.

Angèle Guerre's works invite us to meditate, aspire to a space of tranquility. The viewers needs to let their eyes get lost in them. The white in her drawings are a guarantee of balance, they structure the works and they let us breathe. The empty space wraps but also reveals the rest. It suggests that nothing has been finished yet, that everything can still happen. It is room left to the infinite.
