Biography
Alain Bonnefoit (born in Montmartre, Paris in 1937) is a French sculptor and painter; He lives and works in Montmartre. He studied at the Arts Appliqués and at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, then moved to Brussels for a while, where he studied with the sculptor Volti.
Alain Bonnefoit uses the Japanese technique sumi-e, drawing in China ink a complete drawing from just one line, that he combines with oil. His works are inhabited by a dream-like atmosphere and exude sensuality and eroticism.
