Biography
Alexandra Parikova currently lives and works in Croissy sur Seine, on the land of the Impressionists.
A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure Des Arts Saint-Luc in Brussels, she notably followed training in drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Namur and in painting at the Art Students League in New York.
Self-taught, she is part of the art-deco cubism movement. The compositions articulate geometric shapes and guidelines, embedded like unstructured puzzles where the areas of bright colors, force the contrast. Alexandra Parikova feels as much at ease in the technique of collage, which she developed to create an art based on the composition of recycled elements such as broken toys, leather straps, papers, ... as in painting oil.
Portraits remain his favorite theme.
