Biography
Jean-Luc Luis was born in Marseille on September 14, 1966. He studied at the University of Montreal then at the University of Quebec psychology and pedagogy. After eight years in Quebec, he settled in the Balearic Islands where he still lives. Self-taught, he nevertheless received a few hours of training and editing with Joan Sastre. Andreas Heumann, who sometimes opined on his photos, taught him that "technique is only a tool to perfect a thought". He likes street photography, spontaneity, immediacy and admits to being tempted to venture towards a more conceptual and abstract photography ...
