Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Paul Laurenzi is a French contemporary painter, born on July 15, 1964, in Antibes, France. He initially worked in advertising, illustration, and children’s publishing before fully committing to painting in the 1980s. After moving to the Vaucluse region, he joined an artists’ association, where he began exhibiting his early works in group shows and regional art fairs.
His career took a decisive turn in 1991 when he was first exhibited in a Marseille gallery alongside renowned artists such as Bernard Buffet, marking his entry into the professional gallery circuit. His artistic universe is largely focused on the female figure, inspired by classical masters like Toulouse-Lautrec, Klimt, Manet, Balthus, and Leonardo da Vinci, as well as modern symbolic influences.
In 1994, he exhibited in Paris at the erotic art gallery “Les Larmes d’Eros”, where he met artists such as Alex Varenne and Gilles Berquet, reinforcing his presence in contemporary figurative and sensual art scenes.
Laurenzi works across multiple techniques including oil painting, acrylics, illustration, posters, and book cover design. His practice also explores abstraction, particularly the deterioration of surfaces and material textures, influenced by artists like Francis Bacon and Antoni Tàpies.
He continues to exhibit in France and Europe, with a multidisciplinary presence spanning fine art, media, and publishing.
