Biography
The groundbreaking digital artist, Beeple, whose real name is Mike Winkelmann, was born in 1981 in Wisconsin, USA. Having trained at Purdue University as a computer science major, he turned to digital art in the early stages of his career. His work is recognized for its profoundly internet-based themes and dystopian depictions of digital characters.
Now living in South Carolina with his wife and children, Beeple is known globally for his record-breaking sale of a digital artwork in 2021 for $69 million. He has since continued to make a name for himself as a champion of digital and NFT art.
