Description
“Poppies”; In this work, I used acrylic, Indian ink and gilding to capture the ephemeral beauty of poppies.
Inspired by expressionism and minimalism, I sought to express pure emotions through the simplicity of forms. Every brushstroke is a feeling.
Gold; A warm, satiny, textured gold background brings a warm, welcoming energy to any space, inviting contemplation.
Gold is plain but textured, it captures the light like a draped fabric, its reflections change depending on the origin of the light;
whether it comes from the Sun, the day or artificial lighting. A work that is always different depending on the time, the moment or even its position (see the last photos).
The finish is glossy/satin. The chamfers are painted black.

“I am for a reconnection with the Living; My artistic quest is to express the beauty and joy of being connected to the Earth.
In love with our blue planet, Sophie follows her inspiration wherever it comes from, as long as the common thread is, mainly the Environment, more precisely the Natural Elements. She uses contrast to bring out the light, tries to get to the essential, with the grace of the natural.
Sophie is a French artist, born in Paris in 1964. Listed at i-CAC, present on the international art market for 20 years.
Graduated as a “decorative painter" from the Art et Métier Institute for Decorative Mural Art;
