Biography
Liu Kai Yun was born in 1957 in Dangyang, in the province of Hubei, China. He got his diploma in Science at the Zhongnan University.
His passion for painting began right since his childhood and he found his artistic expression as a self-taught artist. He does figurative and abstract painting on thin rice paper with great aesthetics, depicting traditional Chinese art patterns (mountains, flowers, landscapes).
He is a calligrapher, painter, engraver of seals but also a researcher and economics professor. He still teaches at the Finance University of Guangdong, he is also editor in chief of the magazine "Forum Jianghan" at the Academy of Social Sciences of Hubei and vice president of the "Open Time" magazine.
He has written more than 200 Articles about art, economy and philosophy. He has also done several personal exhibitions in China in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Haikou and in the world (USA, Japan, Australia...).
