Eddy Vitalone is a French artist, born in 1984 in Moulins. After a training in Applied arts, he did a 5 year course at the Fine arts school in Clermont Ferrand, in the applied arts department. He is a member at the Musée de L'Art en Marche de Lapalisse and permanently exhibits at the Galerie des Quatre Coins, Roanne.
Eddy Vitalone draws inspiration from his environment, and leans on the concepts he learned. He admires creators from 1970-1980, fluorescent colors and new mediums. Inspired by pop art and great masters like Picasso and Miro, he does natural, intuitive and colorful painting.
He represents stereotyped animals and figures with humor and poetry. His characters are often luminous and shimmering ,it makes a strong visual impact. Recently he began using a new medium, plexiglass and paints on the front and back. He uses acrylic and spray painting, which accentuates the thickness, depth and bright colors.
