Biography
Born in Thiers in 1958. Always passionate about graphic expression, Olivier Genet self-taught a particular style of painting where different techniques coexist, the background of the canvas is composed in an abstract way by old posters and various papers, several layers of oils and various sketches complete this first phase of composition. Sometimes after a few months of drying Olivier Genet finishes his canvas by representing in a hyperrealistic way fruits, women and toys that he stages. These characters and these objects are observed, gaze at each other and are often linked together by tiny threads, painted ... obviously. In this astonishing and unique universe, the collages appear painted or vice versa. Each canvas is a unique universe where only the pleasure of painting remains the common thread.
