Three areas determine my artistic work: painting – drawing – object

Each area is perceived for itself. But the focus of my work is painting.

When I paint a picture, it is created without objective or thematic guidelines, but free and abstract: the painting alone is the object and the concept. Internal spontaneity sets external processes in motion and imagination finds its way. I put shapes and colors side by side and for a long time I don't know how the image develops or what it should look like.

“Real freedom takes place in the head, where ideas and dreams, fantasies and ideas can flourish,” said Anthony Cragg of the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts.

My painting is characterized by fine lines, small drawings, stacked or aligned shapes and by a particular intensity of color.

Labyrinthine networks and interdependencies emerge, shapes and colors cut out like kaleidoscopes until they create an aesthetic whole, condensation and cohesion.

The images invite you to decipher and enigma without revealing the secret.

In this way, the confrontation with the work creates an abundance of images and inner associations.

As early as 1923, Jean Cocteau declared that it is much more difficult to defraud the eyes with an unintelligible image than with an object".
