This striking 40x60 cm oil on canvas embodies the elusive dance between life and the angel of death. The artwork uses cubist influences to fracture and reassemble the form of an angelic figure, imbued with a spectral quality through a juxtaposition of angular shapes and soft curves. The painting's color scheme is rich in earthy tones with pops of blue, highlighting the figure's ethereal presence. This piece serves as a profound reflection on the delicate balance between existence and the inevitable, exploring themes of mortality and the beyond with a graceful, abstract form.
Presentation
Amvel Atasunts was born in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) in July 28th 1959. In 1967 he moved to Yerevan (Armenia). At age 9 he started oil painting. From 1975 to 1977 Atasunts Samvel took part at the first all-Union exhibition festival and has received the diploma of the second degree. He attended the painting studio under management Kotanjyan. In 1979 he graduated from college of the Arts.
Since 2001 Member of the Artists - Union of Armenia, Yerevan. Samvel Atasunts draws portraits under the order also. He participates at the different exhibitions.
