Valeri Tsvetkov

Date of birth: 20th May 1963  in Kyustendil, Bulgaria .

Education: 1990 graduated at the Academy of the Fine Arts in Sofia-in the field of murals.

 I've always liked to make my paintings hyper realistic. I think that with my paintings I can suggest my ideas. Concreteness in the shapes, pedantism in the details are typical for my paintings. As genres, I mostly paint portraits, landscapes, still life, flowers, animals, compositions with people and nudes. I think the most important thing for an artist is to impress with his individuality. Art makes me happy and I would be pleased if with my paintings you feel all this feelings too.

Exhibitions: 1990-2008. Mani participations in General Art Exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad.

Prizes:  1986  First prize-winner for a portrait of a historical hero.                              

1988  First prize-winner of a nude paintings competition.

1993  Prize-winner of young artists competition.

2003  A prize on art of painting at Gallery "Sala Barna" , Barcelona.

Many of his works are now owned by the National Picture Gallery in Sofia and by private collections in Bulgaria, Holland, Portugal, Greece, Germany, the USA etc.
