Plinio Colombi

Swiss painter and graphic artist.

Biography

He was the son of Enrico Colombi and Hedwig Huber.

After his secondary studies in Lausanne, he began studying architecture at the Technikum Winterthur, but quickly moved towards artistic and craft training.

In 189 he was in Paris. He then worked as a decorative painter in Bern and from 1899 he became a freelance artist. In 1904 he married Marguerite Petter. He lived in various regions of the canton of Bern, from 1924 in Spiez, where he also died.

In 1939, the Kunsthalle Bern exhibited his works.
