Biography
Born in 1865, Huang Binhong was a Chinese painter and art historian.
Binhong's paintings exemplify the literati style, incorporating calligraphy and ink painting. Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese painting and nature, Binhong converged Eastern and Western influences in his works. At the age of 80, Binhong held his first solo retrospective in Shanghai. He died in 1955.
